You think BioWare’s content on brave new gamer is just games, books, action figures, and comics for its epic space opera Mass Effect? You’re greatly mistaken. According to the Mass Effect 2 project director Casey Hudson, there’s “a tremendous amount of interest” in the idea of a Mass Effect film.
“Obviously we have a tremendous amount of interest from people in Hollywood to make a major motion picture,” Hudson told MTV Movies Blog.
Fortunately, Hudson isn’t just looking for any old movie tie-in. He’s aware of the crappy films that are made to complement games and vice versa. He wants it to be a “great” film, otherwise it shouldn’t be made at all.
“The most important thing for us is we don’t just want to see a movie get made,” he continued. “We want to see a great movie get made, if it’s going to get made at all.”
