Time to churn up the rumor mill again! This time, we’ve gotten word that Blizzard’s next, unannounced MMO game will be an MMOFPS. French website NoFrag reports that a source close to the game indicates it will take place in a “futuristic universe.” It will be distinctively different than World of Warcraft.
Allegedly, each player in the game has two “lives.” The first life being similar to that of Sims Online, a social/lifestyle type of thing. The other life is where the combat takes place.
The report also points out that this has nothing to do with the rumored Call of Duty MMO. It’s important to point out that Blizzard has stated this game will be a new IP, so a StarCraft MMOFPS is out of the question. Regardless, this news supports the rumor that the game would take place in a sci-fi world.
