Five international couriers were arrested at a Rome airport after security discovered ten kilos of drugs, including cocaine and hashish, hidden in bottles of whiskey and rum…and a PlayStation.
“Although passenger traffic has increased in this period,” explained officials, “forming part of an obstacle to control activity, we managed to block the 5 foreigners stuffed with drugs.” Three Romanians from Caracas had cocaine sewn into their coats, while a pair of Argentines had the white powder concealed in various objects, including a PlayStation. The airport’s Customs Anti-Fraud service knew right away that something was fishy, after handling the console and noticing a significant weight difference. Nice to know that at least one foreign airport’s security team know how to do their job…
