Mass Effect will live on after the trilogy concludes with Mass Effect 3, according to BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk. The Mass Effect property is a “valuable universe,” he said in today’s edition of Kotaku Talk Radio, and Zeschuk noted that the end of the sci-fi trilogy does not mean the series is done. This doesn’t come as a surprise by any means, considering BioWare has hinted at more Mass Effect outside the Commander Shepard story arc, but to see it explicitly spelled out is reassuring nonetheless.
“We’re actually going to continue to use it for stuff and we’re going to continue to make games there,” Zeschuk said. “Believe me, we have our work cut out for us for the next little while getting Mass Effect 3 done after this. Don’t worry if you love Mass Effect, there will be more Mass Effect in the future.”
Mass Effect 2 releases next Tuesday, Janury 26.
