Sony confirmed the Uncharted 2 DLC that was announced yesterday for Japan. The skin pack, called the "PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack," will go up next week. It allows gamers to play as Cole and Zeke from inFamous, Nathan Hale and the Chimera from Resistance and Sev and the Helghast from Killzone 2. It'll cost $4.99, which is lame because it's reportedly free in Japan.

The second DLC pack that Japan is getting has not yet been confirmed for a US release. However, an Uncharted 2 demo will be coming next week as well.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced an Uncharted bundle in the form of the Uncharted 2 Twin Pack. The Twin Pack will include both Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, packaged in a classy gold slipcase. It will retail for 7,980 yen ($88) starting February 18 in Japan.

Sony also announced some new DLC for Uncharted 2. The schedule is shown after the break.

I think we're all in agreement that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is pretty damn impressive in the visuals department (as well as other departments), but is it the best the PlayStation 3 has to offer? Sony doesn't seem to think so. At CES, one representative was so bold as to say Heavy Rain, the upcoming movie-like game from Quantic Dream, "blows Uncharted 2 away," graphically speaking.

The rep also described that both Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain are action games, but the latter is very much different in that it's like playing a movie.

While I would agree that Heavy Rain is the best-looking game I've seen, I'm not sure if I would go so far as to say it "blows Uncharted 2 away." Either way, I'm very excited to get my hands on the full copy when it hits shelves in the US February 23. Sony also has a demo in the works which will be available pre-release.

Naughty Dog's website gets an upgrade as more stats are available for Uncharted 2 players to check out.

There’s still a few things here and there that need tweaking and updating, but this update brings us quite close to our original vision of displaying multiplayer stats from UNCHARTED 2."

In an interview with G4Tv, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells commented on the prospect of more content for Uncharted 2's co-op. It's certainly a possibility the company is exploring, but nothing's set in stone, and it doesn't sound like they're too firm on the topic.

"The objective-style co-op that we have where we have those little narrative moments…It's something that we are considering and we'd really like to do, but it's a much, much bigger investment of time because we have to do a lot of motion capture with the actors and record a lot of voices," explained Wells. "So we would absolutely want make sure that we talk to our community and make sure there was the proper demand for it."

• Added Version number to game menu – should display 1.03 after this update
• Added Clan Tags – all players can now add a custom four letter Clan Tag in the Profile Menu (square) to display on-screen before their PSN ID
• Load times have been decreased significantly
• Added “Rematch” functionality
• Adjusted some Boosters for balance
• Addressed issue with Player’s Met screen in game menu and XMB displaying incorrectly
• Addressed issue with Double Cash not doubling medal cash rewards

Its official, Uncharted 2 wins Game of the Year at the 2009 Video Game Awards. A well-deserved game that definitely did deserve Game of the Year. Selling millions of copies and receiving critical acclaim from around the world, Naughty Dog has created a masterpiece.

Yes, I know that no game is perfect, how can one be? However, it does deserve a solid 10/10 due to it being not just technically better than pretty much all games out there, but the sheer content and fun factor will make this game enter the history books in my opinion.
