The announcement has come to fruition and the iPhone version of Street Fight IV is now available for your portable fighting pleasure.
Gameplay is your typical on screen buttons-in-the-corner setup. The fighting action tries to stay centered on the screen, but fat fingered individuals may want to be wary as the buttons do take up quite a bit of space. Another thing to note is that there are only eight fighters available: Ryu, Ken, Blanka, Guile, Chun-Li, Dhalsim, M. Bison and Abel.
Street Fighter IV on iPhone can be had for $10.
First Street Fighter IV on the iPhone, now the PSP? Capcom's Natsuki Shiozawa wouldn't mind. According to a Q&A post on her blog, Ms. Shiozawa expressed that she would, in fact, want to bring the fighter to the PSP.
No official word yet on if and when this would happen.
It may sound crazy, but it's happening. Capcom announced today that it plans on bringing Street Fighter IV to the iPhone next month, but it's not your run-of-the-mill port. The company says it has meticulously devised controls that work seamlessly on the device.
Graphically, it's pretty much a watered down version of the console version, but that comes with the territory. Still, it looks good and retains the classic art style.
Ken and Ryu are the only confirmed characters so far, but Capcom says it will be adding both classic and new characters into the game. It will also have Bluetooth multiplayer built in.
