Croteam's HD-ifying of the second game in the Serious Sam series is complete and ready for purchase for all you steam users out there. The game features better visuals, new additions to the original campaign as well as a co-op play feature and additions to the game's 16-player multiplayer. All this is available for a meager $19.99.

Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter is coming to Steam April 28th but if you pre-order the game now you'll be able to get some extra goodies by way of a 10% discount off the $19.99 price point and access to Ugh-Zan, the end boss from First Encounter, as bonus content. For those of you lacking proficiency with simple math 10% off of $19.99 saves you a couple bucks.

Big Download reports that Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter has been delayed to this spring. Originally scheduled for a Q1 2010 release, the HD-overhaul will be landing late April, according to developer Devolver Digital.
Like The First Encounter, The Second Encounter will be getting a PC and Xbox 360 release. Devolver Digital also recently announced that dedicated servers and deathmatch are coming to The First Encounter "soon."
