Despite requests for Infinity Ward to add the infamous Nazi zombies of World at War fame into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it's not happening, says the studio's community manager Robert Bowling.
"There will be no Nazis or zombies in any piece of Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content," he told IGN.
It looks like you'll just have to wait for the next Call of Duty to kill some Viet Cong zombies.
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling sent word today that a fix for the Modern Warfare 2 "care package" glitch is on the way, currently in Microsoft certification.
"Modern Warfare 2 Care Package Fix on the way," he tweeted. "This includes sprinting with and calling multiple in."
Bowling also noted that it entered Microsoft certification yesterday. The same patch went out for PC and PS3 last month.
The new patch for Modern Warfare 2 that was issued yesterday is currently undergoing testing for PS3 and Xbox 360, according to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling.
"These fixes [listed after the break], excluding the ones I've labeled as (PC-ONLY), are currently in test for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions as well," Bowling wrote on his blog. "Before you ask why there is a delay from PC to consoles, it’s because we can update IW-NET directly and therefore the fastest. The console versions require additional testing through their respective manufacturers."
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, aka fourzerotwo recently sent out a tweet announcing that they have begun testing fixes for the recent bugs players have run into in Modern Warfare 2, such as the infamous infinite ammo glitch and others.
"Update in Test now: 1887s Balanced. Public "private" Match fix. Infinite Ammo fix. Prestige Hack on PS3 fix. Texture Hack on PC fix."
Lets hope Infinity Ward doesn't have to do too many more of these...
Modern Warfare 2 has been out for about 24 hours and many gamers are already complaining about technical glitches taking place in the game, including severe multiplayer problems and trouble with unlockables. Issues have been occurring both on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Gamers have been reporting that they've been having trouble inviting friends, unlocking trophies and achievements, and having problems with matchmaking.
Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling (aka FourZeroTwo) clarified the broken street date on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, saying via Twitter, "ANY store selling MW2 early is in violation of street date. There are no "special permissions." That said, we won't punish players for it."
You'd think a blockbuster title like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would have a insanely massive budget. We learned from Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling that this wasn't the case. In fact, Infinity Ward declined the ginormous budget Activision proposed for the game and managed to stay frugal.
First, you might be wondering why the leaderboards for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 are being reset when the game hasn't even been released yet. The reason for this is is that some people were able to get their hands on an early or leaked copy of the game. This is obviously unfair to gamers who haven't been able to obtain the game, giving those who have it an early headstart on the leaderboards. Well fear no more.
