Darksiders Getting Fixed This Week

filed under news, xbox 360

Darksiders is a pretty good game, but it's about to get even gooder because Vigil is releasing the much-anticipated screen-tearing patch. The update is coming this Wednesday around 2AM PST, and, as usual, it'll come in the form of an auto-update on Xbox Live. Vigil didn't announce if the patch will address any other issues plaguing the game, but the screen-tearing was the most problematic, so it's good to see it's getting fixed.

"To everyone, we really appreciate your feedback and hope you know that we're paying attention to all of it," the developer added on its blog.

Check out our Darksiders review in the meantime.

There's also more good news. The update will be arriving on both Xbox 360 and PC

filed under news, ps3, xbox 360

The new patch for Modern Warfare 2 that was issued yesterday is currently undergoing testing for PS3 and Xbox 360, according to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling.

"These fixes [listed after the break], excluding the ones I've labeled as (PC-ONLY), are currently in test for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions as well," Bowling wrote on his blog. "Before you ask why there is a delay from PC to consoles, it’s because we can update IW-NET directly and therefore the fastest. The console versions require additional testing through their respective manufacturers."
