When the PS3 version of Modnation Racers was first shown off at E3 last year, I was skeptical as to how the game would traslate over to the PSP. After I got some one on one time with a preview build of the game however, I no longer have any doubts that the portable version of Modnation Racers is as competent a title as its PS3 counter part.

Sony has confirmed that ModNation Racers will be landing on both the PS3 and PSP. The PSP version will contain all of the same features as its PS3 counterpart as well as six-player multiplayer both ad-hoc and online.
The PS3 version was slated for a release sometime this year, and it looks like the PSP edition will be releasing alongside it.
Sony confirmed today that the European beta for ModNation Racers will be launching next week on January 22. The first 100,000 PSN users to access the PlayStation Store on Thursday, January 21 will be able to download the beta. After that, the beta is taken off the store.
"If you're one of the lucky testers, you'll be given the opportunity to race on four premade tracks; two of which are exclusive to Europe as promised," Sony wrote on its PlayStation blog. "You can also enter the Creation Station and design your very own character, kart and an alpine themed race track, ready to share with other Beta Trial testers."
The beta will end on February 14, which happens to be Valentine's Day.
