Infinity Ward has finally put out official word on the incoming DLC pack for Modern Warfare 2, entitled the "Stimulus Package." The pack will launch worldwide on March 30 for Xbox Live. It will later be coming to PC and PSN down the line of course.
There's no word on what maps will be included in the package, but rumors suggest it will include five maps, which may include some familiar locales.

Despite requests for Infinity Ward to add the infamous Nazi zombies of World at War fame into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it's not happening, says the studio's community manager Robert Bowling.
"There will be no Nazis or zombies in any piece of Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content," he told IGN.
It looks like you'll just have to wait for the next Call of Duty to kill some Viet Cong zombies.

Activision has said that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC will be coming this spring, but it has not given a more specific window. CVG reports that a "reliable source" has told them the DLC will be releasing on Xbox Live this April, which would fit nicely with the spring release date Activision suggested.
There's still no word on what the DLC will include, although it's been unofficially confirmed that it will contain new maps. Whatever it is, it will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360, releasing sometime later on PS3 and PC.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling sent word today that a fix for the Modern Warfare 2 "care package" glitch is on the way, currently in Microsoft certification.
"Modern Warfare 2 Care Package Fix on the way," he tweeted. "This includes sprinting with and calling multiple in."
Bowling also noted that it entered Microsoft certification yesterday. The same patch went out for PC and PS3 last month.

Well what the hell did you think it was? Of course it's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It sold 11.86 million units across the US, UK and Japan alone, topping Nintendo hard hitters Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii Fit.
If you care about the breakdown, according to aggregate data from NPD Group, GfK Chart-Track and Enterbrain, Modern Warfare 2 sold 8.82 million units in the US, 2.8 million in the UK and 238,000 in Japan.
The top five are listed after the break.

Because it's Sunday, and there's no news to post whatsoever, we will feed you with awesome videos. Speaking of which, here's an incredible knife kill in Modern Warfare 2. Not only does it ricochet off a wall, but it hits the poor soul right in the eye! That makes it worthy of posting, but only on Sunday.

It was reported that the release date for Modern Warfare 2's first DLC pack, a 30-day timed exclusive for the Xbox 360, would be releasing March 1. Infinity Ward's community man Robert Bowling has responded to the rumor, calling it what it is, a rumor.
"We haven't set a date for our DLC," he wrote on his Twitter. "Once we have one, it'll be posted here and by me on other official outlets.
"We're still figuring out what the DLC will include, until we know for sure, I can't comment on what to expect yet."
Earlier this week, a video surfaced allegedly showing the new maps included in the DLC.

At CES it was revealed that Microsoft would be getting a timed exclusive for the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC pack. We've received word that this timed exclusive will last 30 days on the Xbox 360.
"We have a 30-day timed exclusive on the Modern Warfare content packs," a spokesperson told Eurogamer. "So it will be available on other platforms, but you get to try and play on Xbox 360 first."
The DLC is expected to arrive sometime this spring, with some rumors suggesting March 1.

Who knew Peter Jackson would be such a big Modern Warfare 2 fan? The legendary director and producer is currently enjoying the game "more than films" at the moment, he revealed in a recent interview (thanks, VG247).
"[Spec Ops] is hard, I know, and to get to that final level, which is what? Echo is it?...I have still got to crack through a lot of things to open up that one level, but it's a great game," said Jackson. "I'm enjoying these games more than I am enjoying films at the moment.

The new patch for Modern Warfare 2 that was issued yesterday is currently undergoing testing for PS3 and Xbox 360, according to Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling.
"These fixes [listed after the break], excluding the ones I've labeled as (PC-ONLY), are currently in test for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions as well," Bowling wrote on his blog. "Before you ask why there is a delay from PC to consoles, it’s because we can update IW-NET directly and therefore the fastest. The console versions require additional testing through their respective manufacturers."
