Infinity Ward has released a new patch to fix a few glitches in Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3, with a Xbox 360 and PC version coming sometime soon as well.

"PS3 patch just went live! Includes the Akimbo 1887s re-balancing, fix for Prestige hack, & fix for Public "private" Match.[...]The Xbox 360 version will be getting the same, just waiting on ETA on it's release. PC gets same plus fix for hacked textures & altered IWDs."-Infinity Ward's Community Manager Robert Bowling, aka fourzerotwo via twitter.

Infinity Ward Sending Out More Modern Warfare 2 Fixes

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, aka fourzerotwo recently sent out a tweet announcing that they have begun testing fixes for the recent bugs players have run into in Modern Warfare 2, such as the infamous infinite ammo glitch and others.

"Update in Test now: 1887s Balanced. Public "private" Match fix. Infinite Ammo fix. Prestige Hack on PS3 fix. Texture Hack on PC fix."

Lets hope Infinity Ward doesn't have to do too many more of these...

Left 4 Dead 2 Gets Patched

Valve released a patch for Left 4 Dead 2 on the PC today that fixes a number of glitches that launched with the game. Here's a quick look at some of the issues addressed. For a full list, check out this link.

  • Fixed performance problem when rendering lots of decals, notably when fighting tanks with shotguns
  • Fixed rcon response not working on Linux dedicated servers
  • Fixed matchmaking problem matching into Advanced and Expert games
  • Fix bug that would cause other specials to try to pummel a player a Charger disconnects or reconnects
  • Fixed versus mode results panel being cut off in transition stats screen in non-english
  • Found games: fixed non-player entries drawing the wrong type of icon in the selected item name label
  • Game mode selector on main menu now takes keyboard input
