Arkham Asylum’s Publishers Were Cool With Game’s Delay

When Rocksteady Studios needed two more months to finish Batman: Arkham Asylum, Eidos and Warner Bros. completely backed the delay. The game was originally scheduled to release in June, but the developer wanted it pushed back until August, which the publishers agreed with, according to Sefton Hill, a game director at Rocksteady.

"We discussed it with Warner Brothers and Eidos and said, 'Look, we believe we have a really good game here.' What we all agreed to do at the outset was put the time in and make sure we deliver a game worthy of Batman," he commented. "[We] said what we really need to do here is spend this additional three months to make sure we tidy the game and deliver the game that we all set out to do. To give Eidos and Warner a lot of credit, they backed that 100%."

Batman Arkham Asylum 2 Debut Trailer

Batman Arkham Asylum 2 was announced at the VGA's along with the debut trailer. The move was not surprising due to the first games huge success.

Just Cause 2 Limited Edition Revealed (for the UK)

Square Enix has announced that all pre-orders for Just Cause 2 in the UK are to be shipped in an exclusive, limited edition format. Available to pre-order now, the pack contains a set of in-box and downloadable in-game tools for causing complete chaos by land, sea and air.

The limited edition comes complete with the Black Market Chaos Pack, containing five must-have downloadable guns and gadgets, experimental and heavily upgraded items from the Agency’s research and development division, and a fold-out Panauan Intel Map, packed with information and hotspots for causing chaos and destruction.

Warren Spector Not Done With Deus Ex

In an interview with Variety, game designer and Deus Ex mastermind Warren Spector, said he is not done with the aforementioned series, despite the fact that he no longer has the rights to it.  Currently he's working on Epic Mickey with his studio Junction Point, but he has expressed interest in a spiritual successor to the classic action RPG series Deus Ex.
