Bioware shed some light on its upcoming Mass Effect 2 "Kasumi - Stolen Memory" DLC. For about $7 USD, you'll be able to recruit Kasumi Goto for a new mission involving a vault heist from a deadly criminal named Donovan Hock. The new content is reported to add a cool 90-minutes to the game and is set to release sometime in April for 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live, and 560 Bioware points (really?) for the PC.

EA has released an all-new co-op campaign map pack titled ‘Chapters of Deceit’ on Xbox Live for Army of Two: The 40th. The map pack will be available on April 1st on the PlayStation Network. Chapters of Deceit puts players back amidst the disaster in Shanghai where they will stumble upon new information that could help end the invasion by Jonah and his 40th Day Initiative army. However, they quickly learn that everyone is out for themselves and no one can be trusted. The lives of this iconic two-man private military team are at risk, forcing players to rely on each other to get out alive.

Chapters of Deceit is available for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points.

Aliens vs. Predator Getting New Maps March 18

Well, technically not so much "new maps" as "now widely available" maps. The four bonus maps included with the special edition version of the game will be available for all as DLC March 18th. Price of entry is $7.

Regarding the maps themselves, two are designed for the games competitive multiplayer modes and two are designed for cooperative modes. The competitive maps are called "Docks" and "Machine". The cooperative maps are called "Outpost" and "Hive".  The latter two take place in an overrun human colony and Alien breeding ground and are designed for human versus alien gameplay.

I haven't played the game yet, but the latter coop. maps sound right up my alley.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Day-one DLC Confirmed

We knew that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 would have some sort of DLC on or around its launch next Tuesday. Today, EA sent out a trailer confirming this notion as well as providing us insight into what it will be and how we'll get it. Bringing the total count to ten, the DLC will include two new multiplayer maps, Laguna Alta, playable in Conquest mode and Nelson Bay, playable in Rush mode. As part of EA's initiative to screw over used-game retailers, it will be free to anyone who purchases the game new or purchases separately the VIP code, which costs $15.

Coming later in March will be another free map pack, giving players a chance to experience the Arica Harbor map in Conquest mode and Laguna Presa map in Rush mode. This will be available in the same manner as the day-one DLC.

New Valkyria Chronicles DLC This Thursday

by Robert Hastings Feb 22, 2010 10:12 PM CST
filed under dlc, news, ps3

Remember Valkyria Chronicles, that tragically overlooked PlayStation 3 tactical role-playing game that SEGA put out back near the end of 2008? If you do, and if you’re one of the few that actually took it upon themselves to go out and pick up a copy, it looks like you’re in for a bit of a treat on February 25th when a brand new downloadable content pack is released for the title.

Challenges of the Edy Detachment will have you playing as...well, Edy, a minor character from the full game, as she embarks on a conquest across six new maps. Each map is respectively tailored to provide a challenge for each of the different soldier classes ranked throughout Edy’s squad.

With three packs made available last year, including one that also focused around this specific cast of characters, this release marks the fourth DLC pack for Valkyria Chronicles. Unfortunately the press release mentions no pricing information, though I have no reason to believe that it will cost any more than the previous offerings were at $5. Look for it on the PlayStation Store this Thursday.
