Square Enix has just announced in an exclusive interview with Brave New Gamer's recently organized Factorial Investigation's Bureau or "FIB", that Final Fantasy XV, the next title in the long running role-playing series, is nearly sixty percent finished in it's development and would feature "...true next generation uninteractivity..." and "...over sixty hours of exhaustively irrelevant, meandering cinematics." This breaking news comes just one month after the developer's blockbuster release of Final Fantasy XIII, and before the official completion of Final Fantasy XIV, an MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) entry to the series.

Are you talented? Are you an individual? If you answered "yes" to both of those questions, then we want you! Brave New Gamer is currently seeking dedicated news contributors for both weekdays and weekends (or both if you're feeling overly ambitious).
Candidates must have a strong grasp of the English language, a passion for writing, and of course, they must be an avid gamer. Also, having a good sense of humor helps. Prior industry experience is not required, but again, it's helpful.
If you fit these qualifications, then stop twiddling your thumbs and come write about games for us! Send Tyler an email at ttreat[at]bravenewgamer.com and please include examples of previously written work.
P.S. Bow tie optional.

Tom's Guide did an excellent writeup of some of this year's biggest and best gaming mice, for all types of gamers. For the PC gamer in you all (or even for anyone looking for a good mouse), they go into excruciating detail about each of the nine tested mice, to the point that it's sickening. But in a good way.

Game of the year. GOTY. It's pretty damn important, isn't it? To say just how good a game is every year. To give one developer an award above all the others because of their exemplary work.
This year wasn't so clean cut. There were some impressive contenders, as you well know. We've argued, spat in each others faces, and thankfully most of it was online, so no physical damage was done (psychological damage, however, may be permanent to a few staffers), over who was truly the greatest.
But it's not only about which game is king, but what game performs best in certain categories. Some of our choices may shock you. Others may not. In the end, what it all comes down to is who made the best games, and that's what we're here to tell you.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
GTA: Chinatown Wars is a must-have for DS owners. It takes all of the great parts about the GTA franchise and throws them together to create a handheld gaming masterpiece. Instead of the usual over-the-shoulder type view, Chinatown Wars uses a rotatable aerial camera, and it works brilliantly. Another high point of the game is its great use of cel-shading graphics. DS owners pick this one up.
