Sega has made a popular game? Indeed it has! Platinum's Bayonetta is the publisher's second most popular game in the nine months ending December 31, reportedly selling over 1.1 million units to date. Other top sellers include Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, Football Manager 2010 and Phantasy Star Portable 2.

Here's Sega's top four list with sales figures:

  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Wii, DS) – 5,670,000 units
  • Bayonetta (PS3, 360) – 1,100,000 units
  • Football Manager 2010 (PSP, PC) – 740,000 units
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2 (PSP) – 540,000 units

Sega made a $189.5 million profit in the nine months ending December 31, which is a $310.9 million increase year-over-year considering the company's losses the year prior. It sold 16.7 million games during the period, with 6.09 million in the US, 8.16 million in Europe and 2.47 million in Japan.
