On the Battlefield blog, associate producer Gordon Van Dyke confirmed that the beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will start on January 28 for PC. The beta will include the map Port Valdez while gamers will get to try out the Rush game mode.
In order to guarantee yourself a beta code, you must pre-order it from GameStop, EA's store, or other participating retailers. EA will likely be giving out a bunch of codes as well considering Van Dyke's remark nothing that there will be "alternate channels" to access the beta.
The beta ends February 25, roughly a week before the game's launch.
