Top 5 Worst Online Gamer Types

Online gaming is something gamers all cherish, but there's a few individuals who can ruin the experience completely. There's generally five different types of these people, and I have created a top five list of the worst online gamer types. Just hope you don't come across these people the next time you're playing online.

5.) The Mouth Breather: Look I’m not going to harp on anyone who might have a medical condition but would it kill you to turn off the mic when you’re not talking.  This person becomes especially annoying when playing a game that does not allow you to easily mute other players.  There are few things as annoying as listening to someone’s heavy panting for 15 minutes straight.  I understand you might be in a situation where this is just how you breathe but please take my ears and sanity into account and shut off the headset unless you are using it.

4.) The Minor:  We’ve all played with these individuals before.  You know the ones with the illiterate parents that can’t read the letter M that sits at the bottom of the box.  Nothing is as sad as listening to a barrage of curse words coming from a voice that is 2 to 3 years away from puberty.  Hey guess what, we don’t care what happened in school today or about anything else going on in your irrelevant existence.  Also I don’t need a play by play of your terrible strategy.  Although, just like the mouth breather they can usually be muted, just knowing they are there is enough to make you despise them.

3.) The Team Killer:  Just because you didn’t get the game mode you wanted or because you are not on a team with your friends, doesn’t mean you get to take it out on me and the rest of the people on your team.  Even though most games where you can kill teammates give you the option of expelling these losers from the game it is still a major annoyance to be blown up 2 seconds into the game.  I mean I’m sorry you wanted the shotgun and I got to it before you, but don’t start chucking grenades at me and throwing a tantrum like a little girl.

2.) The Trash Talker: Easily the worst of the vocal offenders, these people will make you wish you could reach into your TV and punch them in the throat.  These d-bags can appear in multiple forms, like my personal favorite, the guy who can’t mind his own business.   I’m sure you’ve all had a run in with this clown.  There you are having a conversation with a friend and this ass butts in and starts mocking whatever it is you are talking about.  Another favorite is the guy who thinks everyone and everything is gay.  Or the classic, the guy who thinks you suck because he won or had a good score.  Hey guess what, we have all had good scores and most of us have had a better score than the one you just achieved.   And who could forget the guy who says noob every two seconds.  If I just handed your ass to you and I’m a noob, what does that make you?  Although they take multiple forms they all have two things in common; no one finds them funny and no one cares what they have to say.

1.)  The Cheater:  These people are the bane of any legitimate online gamers’ existence.  Just for the record for all of you who may be thinking it’s not cheating because the game allows you to do it; cheating can be anything from exploiting a glitch to connection manipulation and encompasses everything in between.  Hell I’ll even throw in people with crappy connections.  I don’t care if the game allows you to shoot through a wall, you and I both know it’s an oversight in the game design and you are exploiting it.  As for those of you who blatantly go out of your way to receive an advantage; you are just pathetic.  Cheaters are the lowest of the low and if it were up to me anyone caught cheating would have their IP ban, their console ban and their gamer tag ban, permanently.  Nothing is more annoying than watching someone take a thousand bullets, or move twice as fast as everyone else, or kill you with one shot that doesn’t even hit you.  In my opinion neither Microsoft nor Sony police this enough so it will be up to us gamers who play by the rules to point them out when we see them and report them accordingly.
