Steam Holiday Sale Goes Live

Great news for PC gamers! Steam's annual Holiday sale has just gone live, offering awesome deals on tons of great games, up to 80% off on some. Through January 3rd, you can get, among other impressive offers, 50% off the entire Ubisoft catalog, 50% off the Eidos Collectors' Pack, 33% off Rockstar's collection and all 2K games, 50% off all THQ games, 66% off the Unreal Pack and all Atari games, and there's a bunch of discounted indie games.

There are also daily deals going on. Today's include Mirror's Edge, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, GTA IV, Defense Grid: The Awakening, and STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl.

"This year's sale has begun earlier than years past so gamers can save big on last-minute shopping via Steam's Gifting functionality," writes Valve. "Gamers can save up to 80% on select titles, with daily and week-long specials running during the promotion."

STALKER for $1.99? Mirror's Edge for $4.99? GTA IV for $7.49? Seriously. That's outrageous. The world is surely ending and Valve knows it. Might as well spend all my clams then.

What are you planning on picking up? More important, what are you waiting for? Get over to Steam now!
