Valve announced "The Passing" today, which is a DLC add-on for Left 4 Dead 2. Targeted for an early Spring 2010 release, The Passing brings the original Left 4 Dead crew down south for a meeting with the L4D2 cast. The Passing campaign takes place right after L4D2's Dead Center campaign. Set in a small town in rural Georgia, players assume the role of the L4D2 Survivors as they meet with the L4D1 characters.
Aside from the new campaign, The Passing will also include new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes and introduce a new co-op game mode. It will also introduce a new "uncommon common" zombie class, melee weapon, and firearm.
