Modern Warfare 2 might be the biggest game of the year, certainly in terms of sales, but poor attendance in school might not be the only thing the game's release caused. A 48-year old district judge in the UK feigned an illness in order to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 the night of its release, thereby delaying a pending trial.
The judge, who admitted to having an all-night session with the game and being so tired the next day he called in sick, said he just couldn't wait to get his hands on the shooter. Remaining nameless, he picked it up Monday at midnight at his local HMV. He worked as a barrister for almost 15 years before he was appointed, has a wife and two kids and a hefty mortgage, reports The Times Online.
